ADR is Sonofresco’s proprietary roasting software designed to provide real-time data and complete roast control. It allows users to adjust temperature curves, manipulate fan speed, and record key roast events to develop a signature roast profile for any coffee origin.

The fundamental objective of good roasting is to reveal the best flavors of each coffee. This is achieved by roasting consistently in color and maintaining time-temperature profiles designed to match the characteristics of each origin. Too fast a roast leaves little time for full flavor development, while a longer, lighter roast allows the coffee’s authentic character to shine. Darker roasts create caramelized sweetness and fuller body, ideal for espresso. Quick cooling after roasting helps preserve the brightness and acidity that define high-quality coffee.

How ADR Works
